3yr wedding anniversary dinner party: to gift or not to gift?

A couple I know eloped 3 years ago. They're hosting a 3 yr wedding anniversary dinner this weekend. My question is: Should I bring a gift?

Gifting

As with all gift giving, what you do depends upon your relationship with the recipients. Are you long term friends? Is your relationship a close one? Are you comfortable giving this couple a gift? The decision is really up to you after you examine these issues.

But do not give a gift simply because you think you are required to do so. That becomes an obligation, not a gift. I know you will do the appropriate thing for this particular situation once you have thought it through. It is splendid that you are taking the time to think about it.
