Adult cousin graduating

I have an adult cousin (30 years old)that is graduating from college after taking a voluntary absence to start his own business. My question is what is an appropriate gift in this situation. He currently has a family and is making great money in his business and just bought a 500K home.

This is a most interesting inquiry. It demonstrates again the true meaning of gift giving. The dollar amount spent is never relevant in true gifting. The time and attention put into the gift selection is the real standard.

In this case, try to select something that you know will please your cousin. Ask yourself: what are his favorite hobbies, sport teams, books and other interests. Once you begin thinking about this, I know you will find a very suitable and appreciated gift to mark this special event.
