BABY SHOWER

by Sybil Haster

I am hosting a baby shower. The honoree wants to also invite the young daughter (12 yrs old) of her sister who will be invited. How should I address the invitation envelope?

Invitation

Hello Sybil,

When addressing invitations it is proper to either put the name of the main guest on the envelope followed by "and guest" or put both names on the envelope. You may also send each person a separate invitation. I would imagine a 12 year old girl would love getting her own invitation! This is entirely up to you as it fits the situation.

Addressing Baby Shower Invitations

I am leaning toward addressing it as follows:

Mrs. Betty Smith and
Daughter, Missy Annie Smith

What do you think?

Looks great!

I think Missy Annie will be thrilled.
