Hello Louie,

My question to you is - what makes you uncomfortable? You are married to the father of the birthday boy, so your relationship is certainly appropriate to the occasion! Do you feel your presence will be disturbing to the son or his mother? If so, they I'd advise your not attending. Otherwise, I recommend you discuss your feelings with your husband so together you can reach a suitable resolution.

Good luck!
