Email Etiquette

Hello,

I offered out home and 2 dates that we would be able to accomodate a family get together of my Husbands family to one of his cousins.

We talked about this for the past 2 yrs.via the internet. We met face to face 2 1/2 weeks ago. That is when I told her lets have it at our place, I will email you the dates. She said sounds good.

So I sent an email to this person with 2 dates. I would like to know how long I should wait for a response from her ?

I know that she has had to have read the email as she has been n a social media that I am on too.

I really think that because I set a limit on the amount of people that we could accomodate that this may of upset her and she decided not to have this get together.

Please help :)

Hello Patty~

Please call your husband's cousin and kindly ask her about her latest plans. Ask if she has any questions or concerns. See if she may have misunderstood something. Communication is the key to good manners. If the cousin decides to have the event somewhere else, do not take it personally. You tried to be helpful and everyone knows that. It is really OK to initiate this conversation.

Good luck.
