Fiancee's son's graduation or nephew's wedding?

by Bill
(Tampa , FL)

I'm perplexed. My fiancée's son high school graduation which will be held locally is the same day as my nephews wedding out of state. I rarely see my family but was going to stay home to go to the graduation. Then I found out my two sons are going and I'd like to go, but don't want to disappoint my fiancée. What do you suggest is the most appropriate?

Bill,

Which invitation have you accepted? That is the event you attend. Unless your bride to be has given you permission to dump the graduation in favor of the family wedding, it is poor manners to do anything else.
