Gender role dispute

My husband family is coming over for the July 4 holiday. I am upset that he is not including me on the food menu plans, but handling everything with his sisters and he is delegating what everyone is bringing. I feel left out and like I should be in charged of my kitchen and have first option of what I woul like to fix first. Am I wrong for feeling this way ? Also he has invited some of my family members that I did not want to invite. I feel he has crossed the line there also.

Dear Gender,

You and your husband need to straighten this out. If you told him you wanted to be included in menu planning and did not want certain family members invited but your husband simply went ahead with his own plans, then you both have a communication problem at minimum. This is not an etiquette question; it is a relationship issue. I wish you both good luck reaching a mutual resolution.
