Bpatism Gifts

Dear Grandmother

The etiquette of gift giving is flexible but always asks that one give gifts from the heart, meaning one should avoid feeling an obligation to give a gift but rather look to the recipient to decide. Unless there is a family tradition of the grandparents giving silver christening cups, the toddler is too young for it to matter. A small stuffed toy would be nice if you do not want to go empty handed. The 4 year old boy will receive gifts from others and be very aware that this day is about him. If you would like to mark this special day in his life with a gift, then make it something he will enjoy, and not something for his parents gratification. Any action figure or toy car, for example, may feel special to him. Other possible gift ideas would be along a religious gift, like a crucifix or other room hanging object or child's bible to signify the religious nature of the event.

How wonderful is is for you to have these lovely grandchildren in your life!
