Guest at 50th wedding anniversary

I have been invited to attend a 50th wedding anniversary party, hosted by the couple having the anniversary, no gifts were indicated on the invite. The day following the party another person is hosting a brunch for the couple, it did not mention gifts, would it be appropriate to take a gift to the brunch, for the couple and/or the hostess?

Donna,

May I assume you mean that the invitation asked for you not to bring a gift? If so, please bring a lovely personal card for the couple. As for the brunch, if it is in a private home, a gift for the hostess is fine. If you wish to also give a gift to the celebrating couple, please do so.
