High School Graduation Announcement - can it include mention of College enrollment and scholarship?

by Proud Mom
(Cincinnati, OH)

My son is graduating High School. When I send his graduation announcements and party invitation, would it be rude for me to include a statement like "we are pleased to announce that Jimmy has enrolled in XYZ college of Engineering Honors program, with scholarships from the University and ABC company."

Not Bragging, but Proud ...
by: Miss P Etiquette

Letting family and friends know your good news is acceptable. I see this as positive news for everyone.

Moms always have bragging rights unless it is done to show up someone else. But I doubt that is the situation.

Enjoy!

Proud Parents!

Yes, by all means mention on your invitations your children College Enrollments and scholarships! Be proud of what they have accomplished and worked hard to receive. Remember these are Acceptance Letters and Scholarship Awards and not everyone gets them if their from hard to get in Colleges. Especially the Academics Scholarships for kids that are sharp as nails! It will never be bragging if it was EASY to achieve!!LOL
