High School Graduation Announcement - can it include mention of College enrollment and scholarship?

by Proud Mom
(Cincinnati, OH)

My son is graduating High School. When I send his graduation announcements and party invitation, would it be rude for me to include a statement like "we are pleased to announce that Jimmy has enrolled in XYZ college of Engineering Honors program, with scholarships from the University and ABC company."

Letting family and friends know your good news is acceptable. I see this as positive news for everyone.

Moms always have bragging rights unless it is done to show up someone else. But I doubt that is the situation.

Enjoy!
