Who pays?
by: Ms P Etiquette

There is no simple answer to this question. If you are hosting young people in your home, paying for some of their activities is customary. When your house guests are your peers, it depends upon your relationship. A good rule of thumb is to offer to pay for the first activity and then you can alternate with your guests paying for the next one, etc. The important thing to remember is to pay only if you want to give the gift, not because you feel you must. It is not considered a service to others when it is done with visible personal sacrifice.
