Long distance bridal shower

I am throwing a bridal shower for my niece. She lives in AZ and the bridal shower will be in MI. She is flying in for the event. We really want guests to give gift cards or have gifts shipped to her in AZ, since she's flying. Is is this something we could appropriately ask and if so what would be the correct wording? Do we put something in with the invitation? Thank you.

Bridal Shower Gift Rules
by: Ms P Etiquette

Hello Auntie,

An excellent rule to follow is "do not give gift giving instructions", ever. No matter how many times you see this on invitations, it is rude. The presumption of receiving a gift is obvious. You must arrange for the re-shipping of the gifts, if necessary, as part of the hostess duties. And please, do not ask for gift cards.

Only a short line that reads "No Gifts Please" is acceptable.
