Mother inlaw and Sister in law sign even birthday card and give presents together I have to my daughter

I have a grown sister inlaw in her thirties. When my daughter has a birthday or anyone else they sign the card and say the present is from both of them. This seems weird. Shouldn't the grandmother give and sign her own cards she is very capable. My sister inlaw is a grown woman can't she buy her own card and present for people isn't it time to grow up? It would be nice for our daughter to receive a present and card from her grandmother only.

Hello Twila,

I see nothing ill mannered or unfeeling about your in-law’s choice for gift and card giving. Just because someone doesn’t do it your way, does not make it the wrong way. Instead of feeling wronged, please have gratitude for the gifts and cards your daughter receives. Being thankful for the gifts freely given by others is very good manners.
