Mother's Day?

by Mrs Baker

Since it is mother's day we often give a Happy Mothers Day greeting to any women in our lives who are mothers. My daughter asked if it is proper to express the same to a woman whose children have passed away or is it in bad taste. How do you feel about this?

Mother's Day Sentiment
by: Ms P Etiquette

MRS. Baker,

If you know this person intimately, well enough to be certain she'll welcome the sentiment then proceed. Also do not send to mothers who have lost their children unless they have other living children. I think that covers the topic.

Good luck.
