my wife's friends are friends with her ex

OK, so I'm checking out Facebook, and I see that 2 of my wife's friends hosted a party.

I see from the photos on facebook that my wife's ex was also there, but my wife wasn't invited.

My wife doesn't facebook. She would be upset if she found out that her friends invited her ex but didn't invite her.

I really don't want to upset my wife. Should I keep quiet? Or tell her? Is there another option?

I am not certain I understand your dilemma. You want to know if you should tell your wife something that will upset her? Ask yourself why you are even thinking of telling her that her friends seem to have been thoughtless with this hurtful personal slight.

You have no control over this if she finds out from someone else. However, you will not be the one delivering the pain and there is a chance she will never know.

I vote for keeping quiet. It is never good manners to deliver ugly news to one you love. You can be her rock should she discover this herself and not the thoughtless messenger delivering the blow.
