What should my son give my ex-sister-in-law as a wedding gift?

My 13 year old son has been invited to his Godmothers wedding. That is fine, however, she is my ex-sister-in-law. What would be an appropriate gift for my son to bring to this wedding? I am truly stumped.

Wedding Gift
by: Ms P Etiquette

If the invitation to the wedding is for your son only, then the family history you described here is unimportant. Apparently, the bride is the boy's godmother and this is what matters. He is not obligated to give a gift. A personal notecard is a good alternative. If, however, he wishes to bring a gift, I suggest he look online for her wedding registry. If she does not have a registry any thoughtful gift if fine as long as it fits in the family budget.

Thank you for this interesting question.
