Is it proper for the mother of the groom to demand to know what food is being served if she does not contribute financially

Hi Frannie,

Typically, such things are shared with everyone due to dietary considerations. This is not a question of financial contribution or not. However "demand" seems to indicate that this has been less than a civil interaction. The time leading up to the wedding is quite stressful. Perhaps mom can seek a more tactful way of trying to find out, especially if it is health related.
