baby christening

by Sally

my fiancé's daughter is having her baby's christening and I did not get invited. I suggested to my fiancée that he call her and ask why ..that we are a couple and it would be respectful to invite me. He says I should call her and tell her I want to come. What do you think? Please do not post this to everyone. Thank you

Hello Sally,

We do not allow private Q & A here. But I have a simple answer to your question.

It is very poor manners to do either of the actions you have suggested. The person hosting the event is a grown woman and mother. Treating her as if she were a child who has made a mistake is rude. Send a nice handwritten note to the parents marking the occasion. That is what is appropriate under these circumstances. If you are smart, you won't complain to her father about it either.
