Nephews Wedding

As an aunt, where should I sit during the wedding. I was placed in second row after mother, stepmother, father, Grandmother and Brothers girlfriend. Instead of brothers girlfriend, shouldn't have I been in the first row.

Wedding Seating
by: Ms P Etiquette

Hello Auntie,

You should have been seated wherever the bride's family put you. With blended families, seating rules at formal events have become rather murky. Aside from prominently seating the parents and/or stepparents of the bride and groom, the rest of the seating is pretty subjective. The second row is a fine location that shows relationship and closeness to the family.
