Niece and nephew sending anniversary card

Should our niece and nephew (on my wife's side of the family) send us an annual Happy Anniversary card? I ask because my family and close friends send us one every year, but I did not see one from them. What is the etiquette for this?

I've never seen or read an etiquette rule that says one is obligated to send a card to mark a special occasion whether they want to do so or not. Therefore, I do not know how to help you. It is lovely that you and your wife have friends and family who share in the joy of your wedding anniversaries. You niece and nephew's action or lack of action is not a violation of any etiquette rules. Apparently, they either did not know it was your anniversary or did not feel the need to send a card. It is their choice and not an obligation.

Happy Anniversary, by the way!
