should I stay or should I go

Ive been married to my husband for 20 years I have known about his daughter from another woman every since the beginning of our relationship and always wanted to meet her. My oldest stepdaughter reached out to this other daughter and now she is ready to meet her father and I am so excited and want to share this moment with him but my stepdaughter thinks its best just her and her father meet her instead of me going I don't want to miss this special moment but I feel like she just don't want me to go after other things that has happened to much to explain but is it better for me to back out or go?My husband is the kind of person who doesn't deal good with a crowd and doesn't know how to stand up to my stepdaughter because he feels guilty for not being in her life as much as he should have been due to other complications from both sides of relationships. I just feel I have stood by this man for 20 years and supported him in everything he has done and I want to be a part of this beautiful moment and see the look in his eyes and enjoy that special day with him. I don't want to let it be just her and him and our stepdaughter I want to share the experience with him as his wife and mother of his 4 other children. I don't know what to do or what to say to him

Step-Daughter's Wishes
by: Ms P Etiquette

Dear wife,

As sweet and supportive as your intentions are, I suggest you follow the wishes of your step-daughter and let her have this moment with her father and her mother. That is the loving thing to do. I believe you will be glad you let this go without an argument. That compassionate behavior goes a long way in a blended family.

Take care.
