Should we send graduation announcement to deceased friends parents

by Nikki
(SC)

One of my sons really good friends died last year from a brain tumor. He was a pall bearer at the funeral and his parents have asked my son to keep in touch ( and he has swen them occasionally) My son is graduating high school this year and their son would have been in the same graduating class. Is it okay to send them a graduation announcement or would this be inconsiderate? I don't want to offend them by not sending them one but don't want to upset them either.

Nikki,

Please send the announcement. You may want to include a personal note letting her know you are thinking of her and her precious son.
