What have you been doing?

Every time we see a couple they say everything that they have been doing. Then they ask

me what we have been doing. I feel they are making it a competition. They go to Florida in the winter and have a lake place in the summer. I don't have fantastic things to say.
I feel uncomfortable when she leans in and asks me what we have been doing. What can i do to stop her from asking this every timeI see them. I don't have the need to ask them questions.

Dear Reader,

A good way to handle this type of personality, and it is a type, is to smile and say "oh, not much" when asked what you've been up to! You will feel comfortable if you change the way you are thinking about this. This isn't a challenge, it is an attention seeking device this person uses to get you to notice her. The more you stay calm and keep details of your life to yourself,  the sooner she will back off.

Good Luck.
