Father in Law's 60th Birthday party

Hi-

I am planning a 60th birthday party for my father in law. He is divorced and only has one son and 3 grandchildren. Recently my father in law started dating a woman and now living together who has two children and several grandkids and one great grandchild. Is it rude if I only use pictures of my husband and our child at the party? I don't want to hurt feelings, it is hard to know the right way of doing things.

Hello Daughter-in-law,

Not knowing how you plan to use the photos at the party, I cannot directly comment. However, if you think your father-in-law would be happy to see photos of his new family as well, then use them. It is his birthday so pleasing him is quite appropriate.

Have fun!
