Do you have to invite the whole family to a First Communion?

by Alejandra

My daughter first communion is coming up, close family and friends are invited.
My girls wants to invite some of her friends, could we invite only her friends or we need to extend the invitation to their whole family?

Hello Alejandra~

If your daughter is as young as 7 to 8 then please consider inviting the parents of your daughter's friends. You do not have to invite the entire family unless you wish. On such a special occasion it is wise to be as inclusive as possible so no feelings are hurt to mar the beauty of the service and celebration.

I know it will be a lovely party!
