A friends son is 13 years old and taking a girl to a dance. A girl friend of his date is riding with them to the dance. She doesn't have a date. Is it appropriate for him to buy her a flower?

I must say, I have not been asked this question in quite some time. At such a tender age, one might feel that the three of them are going together. I believe it would be quite gallant of your friend's son to make both girls feel special. At an age when boys find speaking to girls difficult, he will be escorting two!
