Proper placement of mothers corsage

by Janet

Where do you place the corsage on the mother of the bride? I was raised that it should be the flowers hanging down and the stems up toward the shoulder. Other are telling me that it is the flowers up and the stems down. Yet other people are telling me it doesn't matter.

I would like to know what the proper placement is for the corsage for the two mothers. Thank you.

Corsages and Boutonnieres
by: Ms P Etiquette

Hello Janet,

The women's corsage is worn upside down (stems up) and the men's boutonnieres is worn upright (stems down). This is the most accepted etiquette.

I hope this information reached you in time.
