Thank you notes

If you are close to the family, a short note describing your enjoyment at this lovely event is appropriate.

If the families are known only casually; for example, you were invited by a friend or you only know the bride or groom, but not the families, then a note is not required. Having said that, if you feel strongly that you wish to express your gratitude, a thank note is fine.
